Our tools do not trade for you
Quick Switch changes which ATM template is selected in NinjaTrader Chart Trader. Quick Trade Pro submits an order only when you arm a preset and click a price. Alpha Flow displays a reading of recent order flow. The Journal records and scores executions you or your platform provide. Alpha Source Copy Desk repeats an order you placed in one of your accounts into other accounts you own, at sizes you set in advance, and only while you have armed it. None of them generates signals, makes trading decisions, or acts without a click from you.
Hypothetical performance
CFTC Rule 4.41: Hypothetical or simulated performance results have certain limitations. Unlike an actual performance record, simulated results do not represent actual trading. Also, since the trades have not been executed, the results may have under- or over-compensated for the impact, if any, of certain market factors, such as lack of liquidity. Simulated trading programs in general are also subject to the fact that they are designed with the benefit of hindsight. No representation is being made that any account will or is likely to achieve profit or losses similar to those shown.
Past performance
Past performance is not necessarily indicative of future results. Any illustration on this site — a chart, a pad, a journal day — is an example of the software's display, not a record of results.
Software
Software can fail. Connections drop, quotes go stale, platforms change. Our tools refuse to act on conditions they detect as unsafe, but no software can detect every unsafe condition. Test every tool on a simulation account before using it with money, and read the documentation that ships with it.
Alpha Source Copy Desk
Alpha Source Copy Desk mirrors orders from one of your own accounts into other accounts you own, inside your own NinjaTrader and over the broker connections it already holds. Every copied order originates from an order you placed in the leader account. It is not a signal service and it never copies another person’s trades. Copying can fail or lag: a follower can be filled at a different price from the leader, be rejected by the broker, be left with a position when the leader is flat, or be stopped by a safety rule while the leader continues. Prop firms have their own rules on copying between accounts, which change without notice; some firms prohibit it, and a firm may close an account for breaching its rules regardless of what the software allowed. You are responsible for checking your firm’s current rules and for every position in every account. Test copying on simulated accounts before using it with money, and keep the kill switch and Flatten all within reach.
Prop firm accounts
Alpha Source Prop Desk works out balances, drawdown room, daily loss room and target progress from the trades Alpha Sync records and the rules you enter. Those figures are estimates for your convenience. Firms change their rules, count commissions and open positions differently, and can close an account on their own numbers. Your firm’s own dashboard and rulebook are always the authority; check them before you rely on anything the Prop Desk shows.
